About Me
For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of working with children, youth, adults, couples and families. With a goal to support overall coping and healing, I have provided therapy in various settings to help clients with: stress, anxiety, anger, depression, sexuality, self-esteem, communication, family/relationship dynamics, and traumatic life experiences.

Folks I've worked with have described my style as warm, authentic, open and engaging. They've also reflected on feeling safe, respected and accepted as we explored the challenges in their lives and successfully worked toward their goals.

I take a client-centred perspective in my work and view my role as a collaborator in someone's process. I place emphasis on being emotional attuned to someone during a session and focus on helping them use their strengths to find solutions. Additionally, I value incorporating various evidence-based practices and techniques so that therapy is as practical as it is compassionate.

I'm happy to say that I've had experience working with people from all walks of life. I'm a passionate advocate for clients surrounding issues of employment, immigration, child welfare, education, finances, mental health, housing, addictions, and legal matters. I've also engaged in professional development related to working in an anti-oppressive, culturally safe fashion and am always seeking to practice cultural humility through my work.

In 2020, I received an Award of Excellence for my dedication to excellence as a Registered Psychotherapist and am always eager to enhance my skills through conferences, training, and other learnings.

I’m passionate about supporting individuals, couples and families in improving their quality of life, overall well-being and function. I value taking a person-centered, strengths-based approach that honours your unique history, feelings, values, and desires. I bring a calm, genuine presence to each session and see myself as being a "warm guide" for the people with whom I work.
